Can healing help with ‘anxiety’ or ‘depression’?

Yes because we work with the symptoms and not the labels

These labels whilst useful sometimes to help us to categorise something easily and quickly, do not really help us step out of the conditioning that comes with the label, and can unwittingly contribute to the persistence of the very thing we are trying to heal. The shamans would call this kind of label a self-curse, as we know that thoughts shape reality, what we repeatedly declare about ourselves, ultimately becomes our reality. Instead, we look at the symptoms or the dynamics presenting and aim to identify the feelings and bodily sensations that are presenting, and the stories, patterns and beliefs that accompany them. Anxiety and/or depression are labels for a set of experiences, feelings, body sensations and mental events, which will also have a psycho-shamanic root, and so we use different techniques to work with these aspects of self, from mindfulness and awareness coaching to somatic work and hypnotherapy.

It Is for this reason that I moved the original standalone energy healing session into a longer ‘Talk and Heal’ session, as my passion is in facilitating change at the level of creation, not just providing a soothing experience or temporary medicine. By unravelling the creation process of what has now seemed to solidify into a physical and emotional experience, clients are empowered to find ways to support their body, to explore their mind and the patterns they hold, and then at the energetic level, we work together to excavate the energetic roots and shifts that are needed to support the transformation or healing.
